Donadagohvi: until we meet again.
The explosive first installment in a six-book saga, Chronicles of the Empyrean: The Guardians, acts as a history lesson for the last Guardian of the Empyrean as he travels through time and space to learn of the creation of pure malice and its unbreakable connection to all life.
At the dawn of the Empyrean, a soul by the name of Iaspis falls into the Heavens. Instead of being banished, Iaspis is invited by The Seven—the living embodiments of the Universe—to construct cities, welcome souls from every corner of the cosmos, and become the first Guardian. However, after 10,000 years of defending the Heavens, Iaspis can take no more suffering, and through an act of altruism accidentally brings forth the destruction of the cosmos in the form of a demon named D’Evoldié.
Borne from the amalgamation of universal evil, D’Evoldié begins a millennia-long rampage through the cosmos enroute to his destiny—the annihilation of all life.
In present time, Demetrius is the last Guardian of the Empyrean. Along with Hácienzo—one of The Seven and the humanoid embodiment of the Universe’s memories—Demetrius searches for the knowledge to defeat the Devil incarnate. Using enchanted tomes from the region’s library, Demetrius and Hácienzo take a front row seat to Iaspis’s life—and every other Guardian’s fight against D’Evoldié, in preparation for his destiny.
